JUDGE

Mr. Dave Mitchell (Peasblossom)

The venue was Larkfield Village Hall, New Hythe Lane, Larkfield, Kent. The show was in aid of the Kent Air Ambulance, and with a brilliant entry of 130 we were able to donate £50.00 to this very worthy cause. The weather held out for us - although a little windy at times, and we only had one shower which fortunately coincided with the judges lunch break.

There were rosettes to 6th place in all classes, and beautiful rosettes for the principle winners. The main winners also received a lovely trophy to keep for a year.

The show was generously sponsored by Cobby Dog, Fish4dogs, Pets at Home (Chatham) and Burns Pet Nutrition, for which we are extremely grateful.

We would also like to thank all those people that generously sponsored the rosettes in each of our classes - see list left

Our judge in the Pedigree ring was Dave Mitchell (Peasblossom) and his Best In Show was the Border Terrier, Chewie, owned by Natalie Stevens. Reserve Best In Show was the Australian Shepherd, Lucy, owned by Michelle Bartlett, Best Puppy In Show was the Whippet, Willow, owned by Joan Levey and Best Veteran In Show, was another Australian Shepherd, Louis, owned by David Angier.

In charge of the Novelty ring was Keely Leach who found her Best Novelty in Show from the Most Handsome Dog Class – Dooley the Cocker Spaniel, owned by S Barry and the Reserve Best Novelty was the Pug, Frank ,owned by Sally Mackenzie.

Our Best Junior handler was the brother of our Reserve Best in Show winner Adam Bartlett with his Working Sheepdog, Dream and the Best Adult Handler was Michelle Oates, with her Border Collie, Bobbi. The first three in each of our adult handling classes each qualified for the Coventry Ladies Kennel Association’s adult handling finals which will be held in March or April next year. Well done to Michelle Oates, Michelle Bartlett and Shona Fisher from the under 30 age group and Christine Wilson, Sue Desmond, and Rachel Hodges from the over 30 age group.
