Companion Dog Show 2010

We held our annual dog show on Sunday 20th June at Langley Village Hall and Sports Ground. Despite an overcast day and an Open Show in Maidstone we had 74 entries on the day. This year our chosen charity was the University of Cambridge Veterinary School Trust. Our sponsors this year were Proplan, CJS and together with donations from club members there were many prizes. In the pedigree ring was Mr Derek Woodward who gave Best in Show to Gill Peacock’s’ Miniature Poodle. Reserve Best in Show was Joan Levey’s, Whippet. Best Puppy in show was Alison Webb’s Hungarian Vizsla. Best Veteran in show was Sue Bourner’s, GSD. The novelty classes were very well supported and judging in the ring was Ann Elliott who gave Best Novelty to Rosemary Frost’s Hungarian Vizsla. Reserve Best Novelty was Terrylle Smith’s English Springer Spaniel. Handling Classes were judged by Sam Tydeman, with Best Junior Handler going to Sarah Clewes. Best Adult Handler and overhaul Best Handler was Julie Waterman. Obedience classes were very successful and kept judges Janet Tandy, Rachael Walker, Dave Pierson and Keely Leach busy all day.
